It's now confirmed that all 157 passengers onboard flight 302 from Addis Ababa to Nairobi died following a crash early this morning.


Among the casualties were 9 Ethiopians, 32 Kenyans and 8 Chinese nationals.The plane crashed shortly after taking off from Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa en route to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).

  • 1 Sudanese
  • 1 Togo
  • 1 Mozambican
  • 1 Norwegian

It's likely most of those who petished in the crash were set to attend a major United Nations environmental conference in Nairobi.

Family members and friends of those on board the flight were transferred to the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel at JKIA, which had been set up as one of two emergency centers.The Kenya Red Cross has been providing counselling services to those affected by the crash.
