ROADS DIVERSIONS; KUTUS TOWN A NO-GO ZONE USING VEHICLES DURING DEVOLUTION CONFERENCE

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru issued a notice to all PSV operators informing them of changes in routes.
Kutus Town

According to the notice, all PSVs from Nairobi to Kerugoya will use the Sagana-Kagio-Baricho route and vice versa and completely avoid Kutus Town which is the venue of the conference.
Vehicles from Kianyaga, Kimunye and Mwea will also use the Rukenya junction to join the Kutus road and will not be allowed into the town. This means if you are travelling to Kerugoya from Embu you have to avoid Kutus Town as much as you can. You can either take Embu-Kianjiru-Rwambiti-Rukenya-Kiamiciri/Kabare-Kerugoya Road-Kerugoya.
No vehicle will use the Kutus – Kerugoya road up to the Kiamiciri junction where motorists will divert from Kerugoya.
Heavy presence of traffic police will be deployed on all roads to ensure traffic rules are followed to the latter.
But we still wonder whether pupils going to schools around Kutus like Skylimit Academy, Alber School, Primestart and others will be flown using choppers!
A special parking bay for the delegates has been set up at the Kirinyaga University grounds, the venue for the five-day conference.
