Teresio Mwaniki Ndwiga from Murinduko in Mwea, Kirinyaga County killed his 5 year son Maxim Munene last night and seriously injured his daughter over Ksh.200. Mwaniki used a pliers to inflict injuries on his son's throat until he died.
He had sent his son to do shopping with 200/= but his son returned home with Ksh. 35 which infuriated him to attack his children.
His daughter is admitted at Kimbimbi Hospital in critical condition.
His wife fled away from home after the attack citing that Ndwiga become mysterious and brutal after becoming Akorino sect adherent recently. Mrs. Ndwiga added that her husband has even been neglecting family responsibilities.
The assailant has since gone underground but police are pursuing him.
The body of the body was taken to Kerugoya mortuary.
Police have launched investigations on the incidence.
